Your data, explained plainly
What we collect, why, who can see it, and how to ask us to delete it - no legal jargon.
Last updated 19 October 2026. This is a plain-language summary of how Road2Job AI handles your data - if you have questions this page doesn't answer, contact us at the details on our Contact page.
What we collect
If you're a student: your name, email, phone number, and whatever's in the resume you upload or paste (skills, education, work history, projects). If you're a company or college: your name, email, phone number, and details about the roles or programs you post.
Why we collect it
To match students to relevant job openings using AI, to let our AI place a screening phone call when you're a strong match for a role, and to let companies review candidates who've been screened. We don't use your data for anything beyond running the platform - we don't sell it, and we don't share it with anyone outside Road2Job AI except the AI services we use to run matching and calls (see "Who else sees your data" below).
Who can see your data
As a student, your resume and contact details are only shown to a company after our AI has called and screened you for their specific role, and only for that role. A company never sees your phone number, email, or resume just because your profile matched their job - screening has to actually happen first.
The AI phone call
When you're matched to a role above the required score, our AI may call the phone number on your account to ask about your interest and fit for that role. This call may be recorded for quality and screening purposes - our AI mentions this at the start of the call. You can turn off matching and calls at any time from your account settings ("Pause service"), and this takes effect immediately for any future calls.
Who else sees your data
We use third-party AI services to read resumes, score matches, and place/transcribe screening calls. These providers process the specific data needed to do that (e.g. your resume text, or your phone number and the call recording) under their own data-handling terms, and we don't grant them any use of your data beyond providing this service to us.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account is active, so matching and screening keep working. If you want your account and data deleted, contact us and we'll remove it, except where we're required to keep something (like a basic record that an account existed) for legitimate administrative reasons.
Your choices
- Pause AI matching and calls at any time from Settings, without deleting your data.
- Ask us to delete your account and data entirely by contacting us.
- Ask us what data we hold about you.
Changes to this policy
If we make a meaningful change to how we handle your data, we'll update this page and change the "last updated" date above.
